MARKTPLATZ
Until late 1943, a triple circus tent covered the area of the square. The prisoners worked there on the construction of wodden boxes complete with special anti-freeze equipment for military vehicles. At the time, the square was surrounded by a high fence and was inaccessible for the other prisoners. During beautification in 1944, the whole area was turned into a park and in the corner in front of the café, a music pavilon was erected.
